ARVADA, Colo.—Critics are questioning spending by several Colorado communities to promote their accomplishments.
Arvada spent $20,000 for a video that aired in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Las Vegas, Nev. It also aired nationally on the FOX Business Network.
The town of Rocky Ford and Alamosa also paid for the advertising.
Arvada resident Samantha Diaz tells KMGH-TV ( ) it’s a waste of money when the city can simply post a video on its web site.
City officials defend the spending, saying it’s important for residents to feel good about their communities.
