New permanent exhibit. The History Colorado Center officially opened in February, but it’s still filling its considerable 195,416 square feet with new attractions. Up just in time for that post-Thanksgiving free time: “Denver A to Z,” which explores “the heart, the art, the whimsy” of the city’s history using the alphabet as a guide. We’ll tell you that —”A” stands for ” adrenaline” and that “Z” is for “zombie,” but we’ll leave it up to you to figure out “B” and beyond. Look for local celebs, breweries and our best-known historical moments to fill in the blanks. Oh, and artworks, like the “Big Blue Bear.” Think that’s “B?” Hmmm. The museum is at 1200 Broadway. 303-447-8679 or .
