Are high school sports necessary? Yes. I played three sports in middle school and two in high school before I focused on football. But even if you’re a one-sport guy, it’s necessary and gives you that extra aspect. You’re not at your house and bored, and I think it saves kids from drugs and that kind of stuff because they’re so busy. You’re with your coaches, teammates and the school. You bond and make friendships a lot faster. I’ve built friendships that I might not have otherwise.
