TUSCALOOSA, Ala.—Alabama and Colorado State will meet next season for the first time in a two-game deal.
The Sept. 21 game at Bryant-Denny Stadium was announced Thursday and completes the Crimson Tide’s 2013 schedule. Colorado State coach Jim McElwain worked for Alabama coach Nick Saban as offensive coordinator through last season’s national championship game.
The two teams will meet again in either 2015 or 2017.
Alabama opens the season Aug. 31 against Virginia Tech in Atlanta. The other nonconference opponents are Georgia State (Oct. 5) and Chattanooga (Nov. 23).
