HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo.—Authorities say a missing 16-year-old boy with special needs was found outside in frigid temperatures Saturday morning.

Sgt. Ron Hanavan with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department tells KUSA-TV ( ) the boy was reported missing from the Spring Hill neighborhood in Highlands Ranch at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.

A Littleton police officer found the boy outside in near single-digit temperatures at about 2:20 a.m. Saturday. The boy was unharmed.
