The stadium used in the is ready to reopen as a music venue as soon as July, .
The arena, home to the opening and closing ceremonies of the games as well as track and field events, already with many live performances during the games, including , , Beady Eye and Frank Turner, which impressed concert promoters.
A “series of rock concerts” is planned for the opening of the venue, and it appears some concerts, which would traditionally be held at Hyde Park, will now head east to the Stratford, East London location.
Dennis Hone, chief executive of the London Legacy Development Corporation said, “the exciting thing for us is that we have the opportunity to put on some major events in the — some music events and festivals and an anniversary weekend on July 27 and 28.”
The English soccer team of West Ham is also currently attempting to negotiate a deal to move into the stadium for the 2016 season.
