Colorado State Patrol troopers say alcohol may have contributed to an early morning fatal crash on Interstate 25 near Monument on Sunday.
Troopers say a driver lost control of her southbound Mazda just before 1:30 a.m. near the Baptist Road exit, just north of the Air Force Academy.
The Mazda spun across the interstate before hitting the median and rolling.
The Mazda’s passenger, identified as 26-year-old Katherine Banzhaf, suffered fatal injuries, troopers said.
