Teller County coroner Al Born said an autopsy was performed Wednesday morning on the man who died after being shot Tuesday by Woodland Park police.

Born said, however, that the results would be released by the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office who is investigating the shooting.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, was prounounced dead Tuesday at Penrose Hospital. Born said Teller County officials were having trouble locating the next of kin.

The when police were trying to make an arrest along eastbound U.S. Highway 24 in front of the Wal-Mart on the east side of Woodland Park.
