FOUNTAIN — Police in Fountain say a 3-year-old boy has been taken to a hospital after being shot in the foot with a handgun.
Police say the .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun went off after the boy found it in a master bedroom Wednesday morning.
The boy’s mother was home at the time but didn’t see the child get the gun.
It wasn’t immediately known whether anyone would face charges.
