Authorities are looking for a man suspected of attacking and sexually assaulting a woman on a Jefferson County bike path.
Around 8 a.m. on Friday, a woman was walking on the bike bath near C-470 and Wadsworth Boulevard when she entered a tunnel that goes underneath C-470, according to a news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
After she entered the tunnel, a man attacked and assaulted the woman.
The suspect is described as being 30 to 40 years old. He appeared to be 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, weigh 175 to 185 pounds and has a lanky and athletic build with light brown hair.
Deputies on bike patrol will be monitoring the path on Saturday, and handing out fliers with a composite sketch of the suspect.
