Firefighters were called to the Reserve at Thornton apartments in the 9700 block of Welby Road before 2 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a fire.
Police officers on scene tell 9NEWS that all the residents were able to escape and two people were treated on scene for minor injuries.
In all, 44 people have been displaced by the fire.
Investigators believe the blaze started on the second or third floor of the building and has been extinguished.
