In a market where builders are once again pushing toward the far suburban edge, some builders still find in-fill situations that will look good not just for the prices, but the accessibility, too. KB Home has 30 sites on the close side of DIA that are walking distance to a 27-J elementary school, where they’re grand-opening a 3-bedroom-plus-loft model today to show off the views across trail-lined open space.

At Fronterra Village – a neighborhood north of E. 96th Avenue east of Chambers Road that was nearly built-out six years ago – you’ll find KB Home’s prices starting from $222,495. The 30 home sites include many that back to Buckley Ranch Open Space and Second Creek Trail. All of KB Home’s designs will have Energy-Star-3 features – designed to save on monthly energy bills, much more efficient than homes built years ago.
“This is a very attractive neighborhood where we not only keep your purchase price low, but where the monthly cost of homeownership is very affordable,” says KB Home Colorado Division President Matt Mandino. As part of that, Rhonda McManus and Pam Annibel will tell you about the low property taxes and the super-low community HOA (only $26/month now). They’ll also point out KB Home’s ‘Built-to-Order’ process, with options that you won’t find in other new homes at such an affordable price: “We offer you a wider range of choices than any comparable builder,” Mandino notes. “Rather than make you pay for specific upgrades that other buyers want, you have a design center experience like custom buyers get.”

You’ll see the possibilities in the ‘Dickens’ show home, 2,146 square feet plus a partial basement, from $232,995. KB Home’s wide assortment of ranch plans matched the needs of a buyer visiting Fronterra from Littleton: “Can you build a ranch with a 4-car garage?” she inquired. The answer is yes: an option for a 3-car garage, plus an added tandem bay.

McManus and Annibel – they’ll have gourmet treats out and a balloon artist on site today and tomorrow – will show you sites where KB Home is launching two early delivery homes for late spring. To reach the grand opening, take E. 104th east from U.S. 85 two miles to Chambers (watch for the new King Soopers), turn south on Chambers to E. 100th Avenue, head east six blocks to Laredo Drive, turn right past the school to Mobile and left two blocks to 99th Way.

Or from DIA or Aurora, take Tower Road north to 104th, head west to Chambers, then south to 100th and east.
