DENVER—The head of the Republican party is in Denver trying to improve his party’s showing among minority voters.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus on Monday kicked off a western tour showcasing the GOP’s outreach to Hispanics and Asians. Priebus held a two-hour conversation with Hispanic and community leaders and then told reporters the GOP needs to have regular talks on the ground, even when there is not a looming election.
Priebus heads to Los Angeles to meet with Hispanic and Asian voters. He goes to San Francisco to meet with technology companies and ends the swing in Seattle.
The GOP lost Hispanic and Asian voters by a more than 2-1 margin in November. Their technological operation also paled in comparison to that of President Obama’s re-election campaign.
