WESTMINSTER, Colo.—Westminster police have identified five juveniles believed to be connected to guns that were found on the grounds of Standley Lake High School.
Three hunting rifles and a shotgun were found near the school’s athletic fields last week. Investigators determined the guns were from a burglary of a home next to the school, and there was no threat to students or staff.
Police said Wednesday that five juveniles are believed to be connected to the burglary. They say two face misdemeanor charges of theft by receiving. The other three face charges of second-degree burglary of a dwelling; possession of deadly weapons on school property; and interference with staff, faculty or students of educational institutions.
