is seeking to boost his street cred with dinosaur-lovers and history-junkies alike, booking April in museums of all places, including: the Natural History Museum of L.A., the Massachusetts MoCA and the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The tour is a , following up on the release of Deacon’s newest album “Animal” and a . For on April 20, Deacon has also announced he will put together an exclusive 7-inch single for the day. The vinyl will feature two versions of “Konono Ripoff No. 1,″ performed by two sets of drummers: Kevin O’Meara and Jeremy Hyman on Side A; Denny Bowen and Dave Jacober on Side B. it will be hand-numbered and limited to 500 copies.

Sadly, Deacon’s March 22 performance in Denver at the Ogden won’t involve any ancient mummies or historical artifacts.
