A representative for Sir has reportedly denied claims that the singer insisted gig organizers in Brazil book a separate hotel room for his collection of glasses.
Elton, known for his eccentric eyewear, is set to play in Belo Horizonte in Brazil this weekend, and according to , wanted another suite in the (five-star) Ouro Minas Hotel, kept at a special temperature, to help keep his glasses in tip-top shape.
“Elton John asked for an extra room in the hotel for some of his collection of glasses because he needs a temperature of 16 C to preserve the accessories,” said an unnamed spokesperson, who also said the star’s other requests included vases of red and white roses, four bottles of cranberry juice, a pint of fresh, skimmed milk and two bottles of wine. It’s certainly not unheard of — in fact, it’s fairly kosher — for stars to have a list of personal requests for their dressing rooms or hotels.
But according to the , a spokesperson for the Elton camp has denied that the, “my glasses need their own hotel room” claims have any grounds.
