WHEAT RIDGE, Colo.—A gun shop that was the subject of Discovery Channel’s “American Guns” not only was recently burglarized, but it’s also part of an investigation by federal authorities.
IRS spokesman Bryan Thiel tells KMGH-TV in Denver ( ) that IRS agents executed a court-ordered search warrant on Gunsmoke Guns on Friday as part of an ongoing financial investigation. Thiel didn’t disclose details.
Last month, Wheat Ridge police say, 12 handguns and three rifles were taken from the gun shop in a burglary.
