HOUGHTON, Mich.—Michigan Tech goalie Jamie Phillips made 22 saves as the Huskies shut out Colorado College 2-0 on Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Phillips faced a game-high nine shots in the second period. Michigan Tech (12-17-4, 8-15-4) put 11 shots in each period on Colorado College goalie Joe Howe. He made 31 saves for the Tigers (13-17-5, 10-13-4).
Milos Gordic scored the game-winning goal in the first period. Tanner Kero added an insurance tally into an empty net at 19:39 of the third period.
Colorado College was 0-for-4 on the power play and Michigan Tech was 0-for-3.
