COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities believe a student set a small fire that forced the evacuation of Evans Elementary School near Colorado Springs.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Jeff Kramer says a student at the school is a suspect, but no charges have been filed.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette ( ), smoke quickly filled the school Tuesday and fire crews and school staff evacuated students. More than 700 children attend the school.
