Denver’s Catholic cathedral,the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, will host a Mass in thanksgiving at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to celebrate the selection of a new pope.
The Archdiocese of Denver is waiting for a name to emerge before releasing a statement.
A local rally for the Pope is planned before the Mass. People are asked to meet in Civic Park at 4:30 p.m. to form a procession to the cathedral at 1530 Logan St. in Denver.
