DENVER—The Denver district attorney says a deputy sheriff was justified when he killed a woman who shot at his partner during a January gunfight.
The shooting erupted when deputies tried to serve a search warrant and the woman began shooting with her two young children by her side.
According to the Denver Post ( ), District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said Thursday that Deputy Eric Givens acted quickly and had no choice when he fatally shot Ronette Morales on the balcony of her apartment.
