Facing a mountain of hype from the debut album “An Awesome Wave,” English experimental rock band performed at New York City’s on Friday. This sold out show was the first of two NYC shows for the Mercury Prize-winning band, performing with openers Hundred Waters. at SXSW — one that even surpassed Alt-J’s recorded material. Alt-J performs in Denver at the Bluebird Theater on April 23 and again in September at the Fillmore Auditorium.
