COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Officials at the Colorado Springs Airport are launching a campaign to attract more air traffic after the number of flights tumbled to a 22-year low.

The departure of Frontier Airlines next month will cut passenger traffic at the airport by 16 percent, according to a report released Wednesday. Many passengers are choosing to travel to Denver International Airport, where they have more choices.

The Colorado Springs Gazette ( ) says city officials are looking at other airports close to large regional hubs, like Tucson, Ariz.
