The good word just came down the pike from Lyons: 2013 lineup is out, in a preliminary stage.
The beloved Lyons festival — held this year on Aug. 16-18 — has announced some of its headliners and supporting acts this morning, and there’s some excitement in them there hills, including a rare solo set from frontman and a couple folk/roots legends in the mix.
The Decemberists’ will play this year’s Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, according to the festival’s website. Meloy’s band has played Folks Fest’s sister event twice, and that included Robert Plant, Mumford & Sons, the Head and the Heart and Emmylou Harris, .
Also on today’s big announce for the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival 2013: , who in Austin; Loreena McKennitt, who played Telluride Bluegrass Festival back in 1993; that has headlined its own shows in recent summers; and one of Denver’s most favorite sons, songwriter () .
