Metro Denver police were investigating two separate car accidents involving pedestrians Saturday night.
Denver police reported the first accident at West Colfax Avenue and Meade Street with a Denver Police Department Twitter post at 8:56 p.m. Saturday.
Accident investigators closed the eastbound lanes of Colfax at Newton Street. A police spokesman said one person was transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Federal Heights police were investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident at 90th Avenue and Federal Boulevard just before 10 p.m. on Saturday. A police dispatcher said the driver of the car had remained on scene.
