BOULDER, Colo.—A broken water main is blamed for causing a large sinkhole in a main street in Boulder.

The Daily Camera ( ) reported that the sinkhole in Folsom Street was about 15 feet by 30 feet and cracked the road and sidewalk. Two apartment buildings were without water because of the rupture of the 16-inch water main.

City worker Mike Banuelos said a water main also broke at the location last year but he doesn’t think the two are related.
