A Denver police officer was involved in a shooting Monday evening.
The shooting happened about 7 p.m. in the 3200 block of Grove Street, police said.
Police were called to the scene with a possible suicidal man, police said.
When officers arrived, the man came at them in a “threatening manner,” said John White, Denver police spokesman.
After disregarding commands from police, and non-lethal measures being ineffective, the officer shot the man, White said. His condition was not known.
It is unclear how many times the officer fired or whether the man had a weapon.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
