Among headlining spots at nearly every big festival in 2013, has added a show to its huge summer schedule. Coachella earlier this month, New Orleans Jazz Fest this weekend, Primavera Festival, Leeds Festival and Lollapalooza are just a few stops for the French band in support of its newest album, “Bankrupt!.”
The Red Rocks showis on Aug. 7 comes a few days after headlining Lollapalooza. , the band will also quietly be playing at the 500-person capacity Fox Theatre for the The FMQB Triple A Conference, which takes place from Aug. 7-10.
As an added bonus, veteran rock band Dinosaur Jr. is opening the Red Rocks show.
Phoenix’s fifth studio album, “Bankrupt!,” was released last week, a followup to the single-stacked “Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix,” which launched the band to headliner status late into their career.
Tickets for the Red Rocks show go on sale on May 3 at 10 a.m.
