A Colorado legislative bill that would have has been withdrawn by its sponsor, state Sen. Lucia Guzman, D-Denver.
Supporters had said the bill would discourage employers from using lockouts as leverage in contract negotiations. But opponents, including business advocacy groups, said it could harm the state’s unenemployment insurance trust fund and raise employer premiums.
The measure had passed in the state House and received initial approval in the Senate.
