A 24-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash in Teller County Monday morning.

The crash happened about 4:18 a.m. about two miles northwest of Cripple Creek, said Trooper Nate Reid, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman.

The 1998 Pontiac coupe left the road and the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. He died at the scene.

A dog in the vehicle survived the crash was was taken from the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
