Tuesday. Here’s something different to plan into your work week: a free and convenient concert of classical quartets, courtesy of the Colorado Chamber Players. The event, “Haydn at the Opera,” is a lunchtime special at Trinity United Methodist Church. The program takes on pieces “that echo Haydn’s vocal style of writing” and include his well-liked “Russian” quartet No. 6 in D major, and his “Recitative” quartet No. 5 in G major. Paul Primus and Margaret Soper Gutierrez play violin with Barbara Hamilton on viola and Judith McIntyre on cello. The church is at 1820 Broadway, near just about everything downtown.
