DENVER—Gov. John Hickenlooper is ordering the Colorado Water Conservation Board to come up with a plan to support agriculture in rural Colorado.
In an executive order issued Wednesday, the governor said Colorado deserves a plan that will help farmers and ranchers while complying with complex water laws.
The governor wants a draft report by the end of next year.
