Denver police are searching for a black pickup truck after a hit-and-run accident involving a 13-year-old boy that happened Thursday just before 6 p.m.
The incident happened in 9200 block of East 35th Avenue, said Sonny Jackson, police spokesman.
Police said the boy may have been at fault, but the truck still did not stay on the scene.
“The child was conscious and complaining of back pain,” Jackson said.
Authorities believe the injuries are non-life threatening, Jackson said.
The vehicle is described an older model black mid-sized pickup truck with faded paint, police said.
The truck was last seen heading west on East 35th Avenue at a high speed, Jackson said.
Anyone with information on the truck is asked to call police.
