Saturday. Celebrate one of Colorado’s favorite pastimes during National Trails Day, sponsored by the American Hiking Society. Parks around the state will host Trails Day events, including trail cleanups, educational programs and guided hikes. Arvada’s Majestic View Nature Center and Two Ponds Wildlife Refuge throw a party in tandem featuring nature exhibits, eco-friendly information booths and live animal demonstrations. In Golden, dinosaur-loving hikers can tackle the Triceratops Trail with experts along the route to explain ancient fossil traces and historical items.
