Friday-June 2: The Friends of the Jefferson County Public Library present the annual Spring Whale of a Used Book Sale with more than 100,000 books, videos, audiobooks, CDs and DVDs. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 2. Prices range from 50 cents to $2.50 on most items. Sunday is “Bag Day,” when $6 lets you fill up a grocery-size bag. Proceeds benefit children and teen literacy programs.
