AURORA, Colo.—Arapahoe County sheriff’s officials are searching for clues about a human jawbone found at Cherry Creek State Park.

Two visitors found the bone Saturday on the east side of Cherry Creek Reservoir near the swim beach. Coroner’s officials say it’s human.

Undersheriff David Walcher said Wednesday that investigators are looking for any other items that could indicate how long the jawbone was there, how old it is, and whether a crime occurred.

Coroner’s officials have said the jawbone would undergo DNA testing to help identify whose it was.
