Denver police arrested a man who left the scene of a hit-and-run accident on foot Wednesday.

The accident happened at West 10th Avenue and Perry Street just before 5 p.m., according to the Denver Police Department’s Twitter account.

The suspect was apprehended at West Ninth Avenue and Perry, police said. The suspect’s vehicle matches one used during a robbery Tuesday, police said.

The person in the car hit by the suspect was not injured, police said.

The suspect, who was not identified, sustained minor injuries.

Police closed the southbound lanes of Perry at 12th Avenue while police investigated.
