An Aurora family has been displaced by an apartment fire.
The fire started about 11:40 a.m. at 1571 Beeler St., according to an Aurora Fire Department media release.
Firefighters “encountered heavy fire in a second-story apartment,” the release said.
No one was injured, but one family has been displaced, the fire department said.
The fire, which started accidentally in a kitchen, caused about $20,000 in damage.
