Friday. First Fridays are for fun at Golden’s First Friday Street Fairs. Starting Friday, Washington Avenue shuts down on the first Friday evening of each month for a miniature festival, complete with magicians, clowns, aerial performers and live music. Snack on $4 tastes from nearby restaurants, and take in the summer scenery with a free horse-drawn carriage ride — hop in on 12th Street. Local businesses will be open for extended hours, too. 5-8 p.m. on first Fridays through October. Washington Avenue, downtown Golden. .
