A possibly intoxicated driver of a Hummer and a woman who was sleeping inside her house were hospitalized early Saturday after the SUV collided with the home, authorities say.

The woman was in serious condition with head injuries, said John White, Denver police spokesman.

The condition of the man is not known, but neither has life-threatening injuries.

The names of the driver and the injured woman have not been released.

The Hummer ran through a yard on the 3500 block of West Ohio Avenue at 1:15 a.m. and punched a gaping hole into the bedroom, White said.
