Return of Strawberry Days
The 116th annual Strawberry Days Parade in Glenwood Springs takes place June 21-23. Three days of arts and crafts, live music, a parade, an old fashioned carnival, family activities and, of course, strawberries.
Mighty pens at Aspen literary fest
The 37th annual Aspen Summer Words Writing Retreat and Literary Festival is taking place Sunday through June 21. This six-day celebration of words, stories and ideas includes morning writing retreats, afternoon literary festival events, book discussions, author readings, and one-on-one professional consultations with agents and editors.
Rodeo gallops into Snowmass
The 2013 Snowmass Rodeo takes place Wednesdays through Aug. 28. Rodeo grounds open at 5 p.m. with a BBQ and pre-rodeo activities such as mechanical bulls, a bouncy house and pony rides. The rodeo runs 7-9 p.m. Ticket prices vary.
Tour sustainable farm in Weston
Earth Mountain Farm in Weston hosts tours every Sunday through Sept. 22. About an hour from Trinidad, the tour includes sustainable systems of the farm, organic gardens, greenhouses, short hiking trails, visits with farm animals and a fresh organic lunch.
