The cause:

The feat: On June 14, Turkaly began the 2,745-mile , the extreme mountain mike race that runs from Banff, Alberta, to the Mexican border at Antelope Wells, N.M.

The story: “Turk” to his friends, Turkaly undertook this grueling, self-supported effort to raise money and awarenes for the life-threatening bone-marrow disease that affects his son.
