Is it too early to have the bejeezus scared out of you? If so don’t watch this new Nine Inch Nails video.

Because just released the video for “Came Back Haunted.” And as if that wasn’t enough, it’s directed by David Lynch, purveyor of some of cinema’s most surreal, psyche-shattering films.

The video presents a series of cuts of bright red light, Trent Reznor screaming lyrics in a close-up, an eerie black-and-white still of a dancer and a disfigured head that sort of looks like one of the sculptures from Lynch’s “.” (Again, if nightmare-inducing video before noon isn’t your bag, you probably shouldn’t click that.)

Important: there’s an epilepsy warning at the start of the video, so if you’re sensitive to bright, flashing light, take caution.

NIN’s “Hesitation Marks” will be out on Sept. 9, while David Lynch’s second LP, “The Big Dream,” is set for release on July 15.
