COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The Colorado State Patrol says a mother and her young son were killed and two other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in eastern El Paso County.
Sgt. J.R. Mullins tells The Gazette ( ) 42-year-old Nicole Enderle and her 3-year-old son Alexander, of Yoder, were killed when the minivan they were in was struck by an SUV that ran through a stop sign Friday morning. Enderle’s 2-year-old daughter suffered minor injuries in the crash, which happened in a rural area northeast of Colorado Springs.
The 31-year-old SUV driver from Peyton was seriously injured. Authorities are trying to determine if she had been drinking before the crash.
