GREELEY, Colo.—A Wyoming-based electric company is building a 30-mile transmission line that stretches into northern Weld County.
High West Energy Inc. is citing an increase in demand for energy from the oil and gas industry.
According to the Greeley Tribune ( ), the company will spend about $7 million to bring electricity to a gas processing facility owned by EOG Resources near Hereford, Colo.
High West serves about 10,000 members in Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado. The company says it will likely continue to expand in the northern Colorado area because demand continues to grow.
