The Broncos have not gone quietly into spring and summer. A Super Bowl hopeful has had more than its share of headlines it would like to avoid.
• May 19 — , who is on the Broncos’ training-camp roster and was on the Broncos’ practice squad last season, arrested in Arapahoe County on suspicion of drunken driving. Saulsberry was suspended last season for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
• June 11 — arrested in Parker on suspicion of driving under the influence. Heckert has been suspended by the Broncos, without pay, for a month.
• July 6 — l arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and other charges in Summit County for two accidents, including ramming a police vehicle in Breckenridge. Russell has been suspended by the Broncos without pay indefinitely.
• Monday — News breaks faces a four-game suspension for violating the league’s drug policy. Miller has appealed the suspension. If the suspension stands he would miss the first four games of regular season.
