As many as 350 classic cars and street rods are expected for the 26th annual Gunnison Car Show Friday through Sunday, Aug. 16-18.

In addition to the open car show in Jorgensen Park on Saturday (Aug. 17), a cruise-in and street dance is planned for Friday night, with music by the Hillbilly Hellcats. A poker run will follow the car show awards on Saturday afternoon. The weekend activities will conclude with a Sunday morning cruise to historic Crested Butte for breakfast.

A highlight of the car show will be presentation of the Lee Iacocca Award to Tammy Allen, internationally known car collector from Grand Junction.
Best of Show winner last year was a 1934 Ford Model B Tudor Sedan entered by Collin L. Sprau of Chicago.
