Broomfield-based announced Monday that Michael Chao has been appointed chief financial officer, effective immediately.
Chao has been serving as vice president of finance, treasury and investor relations at Vail Resorts Inc.
Famous Brands is the parent company of TCBY Yogurt and Mrs. Fields Cookies.
“From his time at Vail Resorts…Michael has demonstrated both his management strength and financial acumen,” said Neal Courtney, CEO of Famous Brands. “We are confident that given his experience…he is the right choice to lead our finance and accounting team into and through this exciting stage of growth for our brands.”
Chao said he was pleased to be joining Famous Brands.
“Famous Brands has experienced significant success in the past several years, and I am looking forward to leveraging my experience and expertise to help contribute to the continued expansion of TCBY and Mrs. Fields around the world,” said Chao.
The company also announced that it has reappointed David Barr to its board of directors.
