Sunday. Kickstands up! LiveWell Colorado’s Viva Streets event highlights the benefits of human-powered transportation. Based on the idea of a “ciclovia” — a street closed to cars that allows only bikes and pedestrians — the festival will take over Tennyson Street in the Berkeley/Regis neighborhood of Denver. Decorate your bike and start the festival with a parade beginning at Cesar Chavez Park (West 41st Avenue and Tennyson Street) at 10 a.m.. Then it’s time to enjoy the fresh air and explore the fiesta — a kids’ bike rodeo, bike safety demonstrations, face painting, Zumba dance fitness and more. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Tennyson Street at West 46th Avenue. Admission is free. . Kathleen St. John
