A 22-year-old Longmont man was sentenced in Boulder District Court on Thursday to 28 years in prison in multiple cases including an assault on his pregnant girlfriend, assault on police officers and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Kyle Brooks was found guilty of being a “habitual offender,” which multiplies prison sentences because of previous convictions.
